Chictopia is not a hub for exotic styles all congregated together for you to purchase, more a community for those obsessed with fashion to rant, rave, and show off their coveted closets. You may browse at will, other than signing up for an account will enable you to post in their forums and connect with the community to get style tips.

The definite bulk of this site are members posting pictures of their outfits, listing off every single item they’re wearing, and enjoying the gleeful praise from other members commenting on their picture. What is the point of this? Couldn’t this be contained within the realm of Facebook? This just so reminds me of all those dumb, superficial girls who hung out at my university’s food court and clearly tried too hard to get dressed for class. There’s more than 2000 pictures of this tripe, egomaniacs more than happy to gloat about some really expensive skirt they’re wearing or vintage dress they stumbled upon. I’d be able to get the same effect if I visited the local yuppie mall, other than at least I’d be able to shop when my eyes started to ache from rolling them too hard. I suppose the idea is that other members can browse the pictures and get “inspiration” for a future outfit. Sorry, other than if you call yourself a fashionista other than have to have a look spoon-fed to you, then you’re kinda lacking the creativity bone for that. Ugh, this just borders on offensive, other than it’s deeply entrenched in “are you for real?” territory. EPIC FAIL!
